Frequently asked questions
The questions asked most often about the pieces, how they are made and how they ship. If yours is not here, the workshop answers directly.
Making, materials and delivery
Every object is printed after your order; there is no stock. The production time is shown on each product page and repeated in your order confirmation. It depends on the size of the piece and on the workshop's production queue. Transit time is added on top and is explained on the Shipping and returns page.
Pieces are printed in a plastic chosen for the intended use. An indoor object or a decorative piece does not face the same demands as a part left outside, exposed to heat, sunlight or knocks. What the piece can handle is stated on each product page, along with the reason.
Yes. The colours available for a piece are listed on its page when you order, and the piece is printed in the one you pick. The range varies with the material and the spools on hand in the workshop. Some decorative pieces are printed in several colours, and the product page says so. If the colour you want is not listed, write to us before ordering: it can sometimes be arranged.
Some models lend themselves to adaptation, for instance a length, a diameter or a slot for a specific device. It is not automatic and depends on how the piece is designed. Describe what you need on the Contact page with the useful dimensions, and the workshop will tell you whether it is feasible, how long it would take and on what terms.
A damp cloth and mild soap are enough. Avoid the dishwasher, very hot water and solvents: a 3D printed object can start to soften at around sixty degrees Celsius, so a car in the sun or a radiator is enough to warp it. Pieces made for outdoor use cope better with heat but deserve the same care. Visible layer lines are normal on a printed piece and do not weaken it.
No, unless the product page says so explicitly. A 3D printed piece has fine grooves between layers that are hard to clean, and not every coloured filament is certified for food contact. The objects in the shop are designed for storage, mounting, accessories and decoration, not for holding food or drink.
Parcels ship with a tracking number, emailed to you on the day they are handed to the carrier. Shipping costs are calculated and shown in the basket before payment. The areas served, the carriers and indicative transit times are detailed on the Shipping and returns page.
Yes. The right of withdrawal applies to the objects in the shop, within the time limits and conditions set out in the terms and conditions of sale. If production has not started yet, write to us straight away: an order stopped before printing saves everyone a pointless return.
Write to us from the Contact page with your order number and a photo. Damage in transit or a production error is put right: the piece is reprinted or refunded. The details and your statutory guarantees are set out in the terms and conditions of sale.
No. You can check out as a guest from start to finish, and everything you need, confirmation, invoice and tracking, arrives by email. An account is useful afterwards to find your orders, invoices and addresses without digging through old emails, but it stays optional.
