In short

  • A thin blade slides into a gap of just 20 mm
  • The board sits 60 mm above the radiator, so warm air still rises
  • Blade cut 3 mm thinner than the gap you measure

The problem

Your radiator sits almost against the wall. Every bracket you found needs a wide gap behind it, around sixty millimetres, and none of them fit.

The solution

This one fits in 20 mm. A thin blade drops behind the radiator, the gusset holds the board 60 mm above it, and warm air keeps rising freely between the two. Your board never touches a hot surface.

Description

The measurement to take

Slide a ruler behind the radiator and measure the horizontal distance between its back and the wall. That is the only dimension that matters. Put it in your order note: I cut the blade 3 mm thinner, so it drops in without forcing and stays put.

Air keeps moving

Laying a board flat on a radiator kills the convection and bakes the wood. Here the gusset holds the board 60 mm clear: warm air rises between the radiator and the shelf, and your board rests on nothing hot.

Why ASA

Same material as the standard model, the one used for car exterior parts. It holds past 100 degrees where PLA softens and creeps.

Sold in pairs

A shelf needs two brackets. The menu covers one to four shelves. The board is not included.

Made to order

Printed to order, to your gap, in my workshop. Allow three working days before dispatch.
